Trance Dance has been used for thousands and thousands of years as a way for indigenous people to understand and process their reality. They journeyed to gain knowledge, clarity, guidance and empowerment from the Spirit world. We will use three contemporary elements in this Trance Dance Ceremony: A bandana/blindfold, a breathing technique called Breath of Fire and an Intention. The bandana helps us to go within so we can access all of our senses. We begin to see with our heart instead of our eyes. Breath of Fire can bring us to an altered state of consciousness, it helps us to be in the present moment, energizing us and helping us to let go of control. We use the intention to create the change and gain the clarity we wish to experience in our lives.
